Here are the select committees that have been created in the Southeast Trek Fun Club.

The SETFC Sunshine Committee

The purpose of the Sunshine Committee is:

  • Welcome new members at our rallies; introduce them at the first night’s happy hour and identify them with a special new member tag

  • Send follow-up notes with future rally dates, SE Trek Fun Club website address, and encourage them to attend the next rally

  • Ensure the information that we have collected is correct (address, phone, email)

  • Be aware of and responsive to our members during a health crisis. Send cards for illnesses, operations, and major medical issues. In case of the death of one of our members, send a donation to a charity of the member’s choice in honor of the deceased club member.

Carolyn McHale is the Chairs of the Sunshine Committee. Please send email to the Sunshine Committee if you know of a Club member who has an illness or medical crisis so that so the committee can respond. In the email, please provide an address, either the home address or the hospital address and provide as many facts as possible about the illness.

At each rally a few people will be assigned as welcoming hosts. Club members are asked to volunteer to serve as hosts. Hosts will be asked to escort the new members for the first night of activities. If you would like to be on the list as a Welcome Host for new members, please send an email to the Sunshine Committee – Carolyn McHale.

The SETFC Book Club

The Book Club is trying to select books that are not costly and available either in paperback, for a Kindle, or at you local library. It also also tries to select a book that pertains to the area where the rally is being held. Use the below link to view the January 2013 book list.

If you are interested in joining the book club or have any questions about the club, please e-mail Carolyn McHale.  Carolyn will be in contact with you.  Carolyn’s e-mail address is cgmchale@verizon.net or clink on her name to e-mail her.
